Executes professional nursing care in accordance with physician treatment plans in order to provide for the comfort and well-being of patients and their family or support system. In doing so, assesses the patients's needs, plans and implements the treatment plan, observes and evaluates the patient's progress and documents pertinent observations. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary health team to meet the holistic needs of the patient. Directs the delivery of nursing care by the other members of the nursing team. Participates in the orientation process of new employees.
Applicant must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York. BLS certification required. (1) year medical/telemetry/ventilator/pulse oximetry monitoring experience preferred. Preference will be given to candidate who has successfully completed on ECG dysrhythmia course and ECG interpretation proficiency test. Excellent oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on customer service required.
