Under general supervision and according to established procedures, operates electroencephalograph (EEG) machine measuring brain wave characteristics for use by physicians in diagnosing brain disorders. Also, operates electrocardiogram (EKG) machine to measuring the electrical activity of the heart. In addition, provide secretarial and administrative support as needed.
Knowledge of brain disorders, electroencephalography testing procedures and equipment, ability to read graphs, distinguish abnormal characteristics and detect machine artifacts through completion of post high school training in EEG Technology.
Knowledge of basic electrocardiography testing procedures and equipment, the ability to distinguish abnormal characteristics and detect machine artifacts.
Ability to prepare complex statistical tables, forms, correspondence, reports and the like from rough draft or dictation.
Approximately two years of progressively more responsible related work experience in order to gain full knowledge of secretarial and office procedures, and the use and operation of standard office equipment.
Computer skills-Proficiency in Word, Excel, Kronos, In-house e-mail, and Lawson, and preferable skill in Access and Power Point.
Ability to frequently lift/carry/push and pull up to 25 lbs. Occasionally push or pull between 25-100 lbs. Frequently bend, reach above shoulder, climb steps/ladder and occasionally kneel and squat.
