Performs leadership activities in accordance with the mission and vision of the organization and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary management team to provide direction of activities and operation of assigned patient care areas. The Nurse Manager ensures adequate staffing is maintained, provides direction to clinical and non-clinical personnel and evaluates the outcomes of nursing care.
Professional knowledge of nursing theory, practice and administration acquired through completion of a BSN.
Master's degree in nursing preferred.
Minimum 2 years nursing leadership experience required.
Current New York State license as a Registered Nurse.
ACLS/ BLS certification.
Speciality certification preferred.
