    Responsible for providing quality patient care that consistently ensures patient dignity and respects patient values and is accepted by the professional community as safe and effective treatment. Provides thorough Psychiatric evaluations, medication evaluations and management and individual, family/collateral, and/or group therapy as indicated. The Psychiatrist is expected to provide Psychiatric coverage in the inpatient unit and/or Access Center.  Complete medical consults as requested by other physicians or services as determined by the Chairman of Psychiatry. Also, responsible to provide “on-call” services as directed by the Chairman, or designee.



        Licensed to practice medicine in New York State.

        Board Certified in Psychiatry or board eligible.

        Member of the hospital medical staff.

        Experienced working with patients with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders, well-developed skills in integrating individual treatment approaches into treatment milieu, and good working relationships with other attending physicians and other staff.

        Licensed to practice medicine in New York State.

        First Aid Training.

        BLS Certification.

        De-escalation Training.

        Continually lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.

        Continually bends, squats, kneels, and reaches above shoulders.
